On the night of Saturday, September 14, Derrick Paul, 33, lost his life in a deadly shooting at a residence on East Lawson Street in Hahira, Georgia. The incident occurred around 9 p.m., prompting a response from local emergency services.
Upon arrival, responders found Paul deceased at the scene. According to Hahira Police Chief Stryde Jones, the suspect has been identified as Eric Noltion, who was swiftly apprehended with the help of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol. Noltion is now in custody at the Lowndes County Jail.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Paul and Noltion were acquainted with one another. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has joined the investigation, which is ongoing.
