Fatal San Jose motorcycle crash death of Edward Kirk – Obituary
Edward Kirk, a 58-year-old resident of San Jose, was killed last week in a tragic accident involving his motorcycle and a truck. The incident occurred at approximately 12:14 p.m. on Thursday in the 1100 block of Old Bayshore Highway. According to police reports, Kirk was riding a 2020 Honda motorcycle and was in the process of splitting lanes when he collided with a 2015 Peterbilt big-rig. The truck, which was also traveling northbound, was driven by an adult male.
Kirk fell from his motorcycle and was subsequently struck by the big-rig. Emergency personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. The driver of the big-rig remained at the location and fully cooperated with the authorities. This incident marks the 35th fatal traffic collision on San Jose streets in 2024.
