In Rutherford, New Jersey, a serious crash on Route 3 West has resulted in the injury of three individuals and led to charges against Justin R. Latorre. On September 15, around 5:12 a.m., the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, along with the Rutherford Police Department, reported that Latorre, a 40-year-old from Newark, caused the collision involving a 2022 Ford Ranger and a 2018 Honda HRV.
Latorre was arrested at the scene on charges of driving while intoxicated. The accident occurred when he attempted a U-turn on Route 3 West, leading to the collision. Following the incident, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit began a joint investigation. Latorre faces charges including third-degree assault by auto, two counts of fourth-degree assault by auto, and various motor vehicle offenses.
Latorre is currently held at the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, awaiting his initial court appearance.
