Fatal Morgan County shooting death of Thawng Tha Sang – Obituary
Authorities are probing a shooting incident in Morgan County that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old early Sunday morning. The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office reported that at approximately 12:30 a.m., deputies responded to a call about a shooting near S.R. 142 and S.R. 39.
Upon arrival, they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound who was later pronounced dead by the Morgan County Coroner’s Office. The victim was identified by his parents as Thawng Tha Sang.
Initial investigations indicate that the shooting stemmed from a confrontation at a residence on Robb Hill Road. Following the altercation, the victim was in a vehicle that fled the scene but eventually stopped at the intersection of S.R. 142 and S.R. 39, where he died from his injuries.
No arrests have been made so far. Authorities believe this incident is isolated and poses no threat to public safety. The case remains under active investigation.
