Angel Valdez-Nives dies in fatal Fields Drive shooting in Nashville
Fatal Fields Drive shooting death of Angel Valdez-Nives – Obituary
Authorities from the Metro Nashville Police Department have confirmed the death of 19-year-old Angel Valdez-Nives, one of two victims in a deadly altercation on Fields Drive. The other victim was identified as 41-year-old Steven Gutierrez.
The incident unfolded at a party where Valdez-Nives and Gutierrez became involved in a physical confrontation. According to reports, Valdez-Nives allegedly drew a firearm and shot Gutierrez multiple times. Gutierrez was rushed to Skyline Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Valdez-Nives reportedly fled the scene with friends but was eventually dropped off at TriStar Summit Medical Center with a gunshot wound. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Valdez-Nives’ gunshot injury, including who may have fired the shot and when it occurred.
