Byron Garcia-Perez dies in fatal Peoria drowning incident
Fatal Peoria drowning death of Byron Garcia-Perez – Obituary.
The body of 25-year-old Byron Garcia-Perez was recovered after he drowned at Lake Pleasant on Sunday evening. Garcia-Perez was reportedly seen swimming about 100 feet from the shore when he began to struggle and went underwater. Despite family members’ efforts to locate him, he did not resurface.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the scene and conducted a search. Just before midnight, his body was located by a Remote Operating Vehicle in approximately nine feet of water. The drowning is under investigation, but authorities do not suspect foul play.
