Fatal Virginia golf cart accident death of Robert Jude Vandornick – Obituary
Robert Jude Vandornick, a 54-year-old resident of Virginia, lost his life on Sunday when his golf cart overturned on an embankment in his backyard, as reported by Virginia State Police (VSP). Vandornick was maneuvering his cart around a curve on a hill when the vehicle toppled over and landed on him, leading to fatal injuries, according to Sgt. Michelle Anaya of VSP.
The VSP confirmed to WTKR 3 News that there was no medical episode involved in the incident.
In a separate incident, Bonnye Mavis Lear, a 60-year-old Disney employee, passed away after falling from a moving golf cart at Disneyland Resort in California in June. Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock expressed deep sorrow and condolences following Lear’s death.
Earlier in the year, a tragic accident occurred when a drunk driver crashed into a golf cart carrying a newlywed couple, resulting in the bride’s death on April 28. The groom sustained serious injuries, and three other occupants in the golf cart were also hurt. Annette Hutchinson, the groom’s mother, shared the heartbreaking news on a GoFundMe page.
