A 40-year-old woman found fatally shot in Lynwood was identified on Monday. The shooting, which occurred around 5:45 a.m. on Sunday, took place in the 12500 block of Oak Street, near Long Beach Boulevard, as reported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Irene Gonzalez was declared dead at the scene. Authorities believe she had been shot several hours before her body was found, according to both the county Department of Medical Examiner and the sheriff’s department.
