According to a report from their Greensboro Police Department, a suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday following a deadly shooting that occurred earlier this year.
Emergency services responded to Godwin Court around 9:31 p.m. on January 31 after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered 19-year-old Jalin Nisean Williams, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
On Wednesday, police apprehended 22-year-old Phillip Kenyarda Lytch in connection with Williams’ death. Lytch now faces a charge of first-degree murder and is currently held without bond at the Guilford County Jail.
