Fatal San Diego shooting death of Junior Alastre – Obituary
San Diego authorities have identified the victims of a double-fatal shooting in Barrio Logan. Junior Alastre, 23, and Osnaider Silveira, 28, were found critically injured on Newton Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Silveira was pronounced dead at the scene, while Alastre died later at a hospital.
The suspect, Guillermo David Gonzalez, 23, from National City, was apprehended the next day in a vehicle belonging to one of the victims. During Gonzalez’s arraignment, it was revealed that he allegedly shot Alastre and Silveira multiple times before stealing one of their cars. Evidence found in the vehicle and on Gonzalez led to his charges of double murder and related crimes.
Gonzalez pleaded not guilty and remains in custody, facing life imprisonment or the death penalty if convicted.
