Fatal San Diego shooting death of Osnaider Silveira and Junior Alastre – Obituary
In San Diego, authorities have identified the two men killed in a shooting in Barrio Logan over the weekend. The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. on Saturday on Newton Avenue when shots were fired. Police found both men with gunshot wounds.
The first victim, 28-year-old Osnaider Silveira, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, 23-year-old Junior Alastre, was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Both men are believed to have recently immigrated from Venezuela.
A suspect, described as a man in his 30s with short hair and a full beard, was later apprehended. The suspect, Guillermo David Gonzalez, 23, of National City, was found in a white 2012 Kia Forte stolen from the crime scene. Gonzalez was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and faces charges including two counts of murder, carjacking, and robbery. His arraignment is set for September 18.
