The Ivory Park SAPS is seeking assistance from the community to find the relatives of Zulu Oscar Smele, who was tragically killed in a hit-and-run on September 8. On that day, officers responded to a report from Tembisa Hospital regarding an unidentified man admitted after being struck by an unknown vehicle in Ebony Park.
Sadly, Smele passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital. It was discovered that he resided in Ivory Park Extension 2. However, when officers visited his residence, the landlord indicated that he had no information about the man’s family.
Through their inquiries, investigators confirmed the identity of the victim as Zulu Oscar Smele, born on January 5, 1978. Authorities are urging anyone with information that could help locate his family to reach out to Detective Sergeant Mpho Modiba at 076 252 7222.
