A family in Canton is seeking answers following the tragic shooting of their loved one. According to local authorities, Booker T. Henry was shot early Sunday morning in the vicinity of LC Greenwood and Walnut Street. He was transported to Madison Merit Health by a private vehicle but succumbed to his injuries.
In addition to this incident, Canton police are investigating three shootings that occurred over the weekend, including the homicide. Ronda Ratliff Henry, the victim’s mother, expressed her grief, stating, “He didn’t bother anybody. He was a good guy. He didn’t even live here. He came down to be with family for a gathering, and just as he was about to leave, he was killed. He was dropped off at the hospital entrance.”
The family noted that there is no surveillance footage of the shooting. Later that day, police reported that Henry’s brother, Darrion Henry, along with another man, was shot in the leg on MLK Drive near George Washington Street.
