Fatal Tioga County motorcycle crash death of Calvin H. Pierce – Obituary.
A serious collision between a motorcycle and a car in the Town of Nichols has resulted in the death of Calvin H. Pierce, 63, from Barton. His passenger, Carla R. Pierce, 45, from Ulster, Pennsylvania, is currently in critical condition at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
The incident occurred around 8:17 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of West River Road and the entrance to Tioga Downs. Deputies from the Tioga County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of the crash, where both motorcycle riders were ejected from their vehicle and subsequently transported to the hospital.
The sheriff’s crash investigation unit is examining the circumstances surrounding the incident, and charges are expected against the car’s driver, whose identity has not yet been disclosed.
