Fatal Lexington shooting death of Deonte Logan – Obituary
A man was shot at an apartment complex on Cambridge Drive in Lexington on Tuesday afternoon and later succumbed to his injuries.
The incident occurred around 5:12 p.m. when the Lexington Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 2000 block of Cambridge Drive.
Upon arrival, officers discovered Logan with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after, at 5:42 p.m., as confirmed by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office. Logan, 30, died from his injuries at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
An autopsy is set to take place on Wednesday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort, according to officials.

This incident marks the 11th homicide in Lexington for 2024, contrasting with 15 homicides reported at this time last year, according to police records.
