Fatal San Antonio pedestrian death of Farhad Al Ali – Obituary.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who was killed in a traffic accident on the Northwest Side. The deceased, Farhad Al Ali, was 78 years old.
Reports indicate that Ali was attempting to cross the 8600 block of Huebner Road at approximately 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday when he was struck by a pickup truck. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Authorities noted that Ali was not using a crosswalk at the time of the incident, and inadequate lighting may have played a role in the accident. Emergency Medical Services also reported detecting alcohol on his breath.
The driver of the pickup remained at the location, and officials do not suspect any impairment due to drugs or alcohol on their part.
