A 15-year-old student from Greenbrier High School has tragically lost his life following a single-vehicle accident early Thursday morning in Columbia County. Authorities reported that the incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Riverwood Parkway and Amberely Drive, as confirmed by Major Steve Morris from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.
Major Morris identified the victim as Gordon Carmichael, who had been reported missing by his mother prior to the accident. At the time of the crash, Carmichael was the sole occupant of his vehicle, which was the only one involved in the incident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
