An 85-year-old woman from Largo, Jeanette Benthall, has succumbed to injuries sustained in a collision with a Prince George’s police officer, five days after the incident. The officer involved has since been released from the hospital.
The accident occurred on September 9 around 11:20 a.m. at the intersection of Campus Way South and Joyceton Drive. According to the police department, Benthall passed away from her injuries on September 14.
The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department is currently examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.
