Fatal Cowlitz County drowning death of AJ Kent N. Merana – Obituary.
Cowlitz County Coroner Dana Tucker revealed on Tuesday evening that the human remains discovered by a fisherman in the Columbia River last week have been identified. The remains belong to 29-year-old AJ Kent N. Merana from the Philippines, who had been reported missing from a ship a week prior. The remains were located near County Line Park in Cathlamet on Friday.
The coroner has ruled that Merana’s death resulted from accidental drowning.
