The St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the jogger who lost his life early Monday in Abita Springs. The victim, Ralph Reimer, 74, was reportedly jogging in the Money Hill subdivision at approximately 8:30 a.m. when he was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado.
Emergency responders transported Reimer to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities noted that the driver remained at the scene following the accident. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
