Fatal Kansas City shooting death of Jimmie Clark – Obituary
A man has been taken into custody following a shooting incident in Kansas City that resulted in the death of Jimmie Clark, 44, who was found lying in the street. The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department reported on Thursday, September 19, that Willie L. Rucker, 53, has been arrested and faces multiple charges related to this tragic event.
Rucker has been charged by the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office with three serious offenses, including second-degree intentional murder, criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle, and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
Authorities responded to reports of an individual down at N. 7th St. and Parallel Pkwy. around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon arrival, first responders discovered Clark, who had succumbed to an apparent gunshot wound.
As of Thursday, Rucker remains in custody at Wyandotte County Jail with a bond set at $250,000. Additional details have yet to be disclosed.
