Authorities in Edmonton have confirmed that a man found deceased in the river valley over the weekend was the victim of a gunshot wound. The deceased, identified as 30-year-old Brandon Lee Cardinal, was pronounced dead on September 14, shortly after emergency services arrived at the scene.
An autopsy conducted on Tuesday ruled the incident a homicide. Witnesses near Nellie McClung Park discovered Cardinal with injuries, prompting the police response.
