Fatal Portland shooting death of Malik Wilkerson – Obituary.
Authorities have confirmed that Malik Wilkerson, a 21-year-old man, lost his life in a shooting incident in Old Town Portland on September 4, 2024. At approximately 3:30 a.m., police received reports of gunfire near Southwest 3rd Avenue and Ankeny Street.
Upon their arrival, officers learned that Wilkerson had been transported to a nearby hospital by a private vehicle. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The Medical Examiner has ruled his death a homicide due to a gunshot wound.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and law enforcement officials report that the suspect or suspects had already fled the scene before they arrived. Portland police are urging anyone with information regarding this case to come forward.
