Fatal Minneapolis shooting death of Robert Brown – Obituary.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified two men who lost their lives in shootings near homeless encampments in South Minneapolis. Robert Brown, 39, and Scott Littleowl, 20, were both pronounced dead at the scene, having been found just two blocks apart, each suffering from gunshot wounds to the head.
The first shooting occurred at 4:40 a.m., where Littleowl was discovered in an alley in the 2500 block of 17th Ave. South. A third man, also in his 30s, was located at the scene with serious injuries and required hospitalization.
Approximately 12 hours later, police responded to a second shooting at 2523 15th Ave. South, where they found Brown. According to authorities, Brown was standing near a parking garage when a group passed by, and one individual approached him and shot him in the head.
Law enforcement apprehended a suspect shortly after a third shooting incident that left another man critically injured. Police Chief O’Hara expressed pride in his officers for their swift response, stating their commitment to addressing the ongoing issue of gun violence in the community.
