A suspect has been arrested in connection with a tragic double homicide that claimed the lives of two teenagers in Flint, Michigan. Nineteen-year-old Ryan Davis is alleged to have fatally shot 13-year-old Dontavis Moore and 15-year-old Dominique Ward around 1:30 a.m. on June 26 in the 1300 block of Banbury Place.
Davis is facing an extensive list of charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of assault with intent to murder, and various firearm-related offenses. In total, he has been charged with 17 crimes, according to the Flint Police Department’s announcement.
On September 19, he appeared in Genesee County District Court for arraignment. Correy Black, superintendent of New Standard Academy, expressed sorrow over Ward’s death on the school’s Facebook page, describing him as “a calm spirit that will most certainly be missed.” Ward was also a member of the school’s football team.
