Fatal Northeast DC shooting death of James Gripper – Obituary
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating a fatal shooting that took place on Friday night in Northeast Washington, D.C.
Authorities reported that officers were dispatched around 11 p.m. to the 4500 block of Quarles Street in response to reports of gunfire.
When police arrived, they found evidence of a shooting but no immediate victim. A short time later, officers discovered a wounded man at a nearby DC Fire and EMS station.
The victim, identified as 30-year-old James Gripper of Bladensburg, Maryland, was taken to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
