Fatal Fresno County motorcycle crash death of Charles Ramirez – Obituary
Charles Ramirez, a 63-year-old resident of Fresno, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol. The Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office confirmed his identity on Tuesday.
The accident occurred along Sample Road, west of Pittman Hills Road in eastern Fresno County. Ramirez had been traveling westbound on a Harley Davidson when he veered off the road, hitting the right shoulder.
His motorcycle struck a metal road sign, which caused Ramirez to be thrown from the bike. Emergency responders arrived but pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities reported that Ramirez was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
Initial investigations suggest that alcohol was not a factor in the crash, though the investigation is still ongoing.
