The body of 16-year-old David Jackson was discovered at the mouth of a creek close to the town of Sitka, Alaska, on Wednesday. According to the Sitka police, Jackson’s remains were located in the outflow of Sawmill Creek, which leads into Silver Bay.
Authorities reported that Jackson was a passenger in a vehicle with three others when it overturned on Blue Lake Road late Saturday night. The other passengers were hospitalized with injuries, but Jackson was missing, prompting a search and rescue effort to find him.
The Sitka Police Department confirmed that Jackson’s next of kin had been informed of his passing.
