Emergency responders received reports of a vehicle fire that morning and discovered Mendoza inside a wrecked truck. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office indicated that Mendoza was likely driving at high speed when he lost control of the vehicle, overcorrected, and collided with a tree.
