Fatal Amherst car crash death of Marcus Powell – Obituary
On Monday night, a tragic collision occurred on Sheridan Drive at Essjay Road, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Marcus Powell from Williamsville. He was declared dead at the scene, as confirmed by Amherst Police Captain Charles Persons.
A three-year-old girl, who was in the other vehicle involved, remains in critical but stable condition at Oishei Children’s Hospital, although no further updates on her health status were provided.
The accident took place around 9:40 p.m. when Powell was driving east on Sheridan Drive and collided with a Honda CRV that was making a left turn onto Essjay. The driver of the CRV sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Erie County Medical Center.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
