Qua’Tonio Stephens dies in fatal Charlotte shooting
Fatal Charlotte shooting death of Qua’Tonio Stephens – Obituary.
Authorities have taken a fourth suspect into custody regarding a tragic drive-by shooting in northwest Charlotte that claimed the life of a three-year-old boy in 2021. Datonio Stephens, 25, was apprehended on Friday, September 20th, facing charges that include murder, eight counts of attempted murder, nine counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, and conspiracy to commit murder.
The incident occurred on September 8, 2021, on Richard Rozzelle Drive, where over 150 rounds were fired into a residence, fatally wounding three-year-old Asiah Figueroa. His four-year-old sister was also injured but survived the attack.
Datonio Stephens is the fourth individual to be arrested in connection with this case, following Qua’Tonio Stephens, Jacob Lanier, and Kaleb Lawrence, who were taken into custody shortly after the shooting.
Earlier this year, on January 5, police issued a murder warrant for 22-year-old Bryce Felder, whose custody status remains unclear.
