Fatal Lexington shooting death of Ricky Williams – Obituary
The coroner of Fayette County has confirmed the identity of a body discovered in a shallow pond along Tates Creek Road on Sunday afternoon. Coroner Gary Ginn announced on Monday that the remains belong to 64-year-old Ricky Williams. The cause of death has yet to be disclosed.
The Lexington Police Department responded to a call made from the 3000 block of Walden Drive around 3:40 p.m. Battalion Chief Derek Roberts stated that the Lexington Fire Department was called to the site at 4:36 p.m. to assist in recovering the body, which was subsequently taken to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.
According to police department spokesperson Hannah Sloan, an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death is currently underway.
