A 14-year-old boy, Romeo Lashaylo Cedillo, has been identified as one of the victims in a deadly double shooting outside Vibes Sports Bar in San Antonio. The shooting took place on Sunday night on Rigsby Avenue, leaving two people dead and one injured.
San Antonio Police reported that two individuals were killed during the incident, with authorities still searching for the suspect. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Cedillo’s identity on Wednesday.
The shooting occurred at 10:34 p.m. outside the sports bar, located in the 2600 block of Rigsby Avenue. According to police, an argument between the victims and a suspect escalated, leading to gunfire.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with over 100 people gathered outside the bar. One witness recounted hearing at least 50 shots, speculating that a semi-automatic or automatic weapon may have been used. “I saw the crowd scatter, and I quickly hid behind my truck,” the witness said.
After the shooting, the suspect fled in an unidentified vehicle. Cedillo and another male, who has yet to be identified but was reported to be 21 years old, were pronounced dead at the scene. A third individual was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover.
As of now, no further updates have been provided on the suspect’s whereabouts.
