Fatal New Castle County motorcycle crash death of Taylor Guyer – Obituary.
Delaware State Police are looking into a deadly single-vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred on the morning of September 22, 2024, on I-95.
Around 8:35 a.m., 26-year-old Taylor Guyer, from Douglasville, Pennsylvania, was riding a Honda CBR 1000RR southbound on I-95, north of Basin Road. Guyer was initially following a group of motorcyclists but sped up to rejoin them, eventually overtaking the group at high speed.
As he passed them, his motorcycle’s rear tire locked, leading to a skid. The bike fell to its right side and slid toward the road’s shoulder. Despite wearing a helmet, Guyer was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for roughly five hours while Delaware State Police investigated and cleared the crash site.
