Fatal Brentwood shooting death of Tyjae Dukes – Obituary.

 

An 18-year-old resident of Brentwood, Tyjae Dukes, has been identified as the main suspect in a shooting incident that occurred Thursday night on Stoney Creek Drive. According to a Friday update from the Brentwood Police Department, Dukes was arrested and booked into the Contra Costa County Jail on multiple felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.

 

Investigators recovered the weapon believed to have been used in the shooting. They clarified that the incident took place on Sand Creek Road, just east of Stoney Creek Drive. Following the shooting, an unidentified male was shot in the abdomen and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Afterward, Dukes, along with five others, fled to a residence on the 100 block of Brush Creek Drive, where all six individuals were detained by police.

 

The victim of the shooting remains hospitalized but is expected to make a recovery. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information who has not yet spoken to law enforcement to reach out to Detective Goold at 925-809-7911.
