Bruce Michael Lynk dies in fatal Jackson County rollover crash

Bruce Michael Lynk, 52, was killed in a single-car rollover crash in Rives Township on the evening of Sunday, Sept. 22. According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Lynk’s vehicle veered off the road on Rives Eaton Road near Dixon Road and collided with a tree. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
Investigators suspect that alcohol may have played a role in the crash, although they are still awaiting toxicology results to confirm this. No other vehicles were involved, and the investigation is ongoing.
Lynk, an automotive enthusiast with a passion for off-roading, is remembered fondly in his obituary. A funeral service and celebration of his life are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Lauer Family Funeral Home, located at 1035 Cooper St.
