Skyler Pattillo dies in fatal Wilmington shooting
Fatal Wilmington shooting death of Skyler Pattillo – Obituary.
A 21-year-old man from Wilmington has been arrested and charged following a deadly shooting that occurred on Thursday, September 26. According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers responded to a report of gunfire in the 300 block of Campus Cove shortly after 7 p.m., where witnesses believed a gun was unloaded.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered a 20-year-old woman, later identified as Skyler Pattillo, suffering from critical injuries. She was transported to a hospital but sadly succumbed to her injuries.
Triston Spencer has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to this incident and is currently held in the county jail on a $150,000 bond. The University of North Carolina Wilmington confirmed that Spencer was a student from the Fall of 2023 until Summer 2024.
