Dramiga had planned a walk on the trails at Covington Park on Sunday, where her vehicle was found after her husband reported her missing that evening. An iPad helped locate her phone in a nearby wooded area.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Dramiga had suffered severe head injuries, leading to her death. A man named Marco Flores was arrested after attempting to evade authorities when they sought him for questioning. He provided specific information about Dramiga’s condition that had not been disclosed publicly, yet he has only been charged with evading arrest.
Frank Trevino, a frequent user of the Greenway Trail System, expressed his sorrow upon hearing of Dramiga’s passing. He is one of 60 volunteers in the Parks and Recreation Department’s trail watch program, which aims to enhance safety on the trails.
Connie Swann, a marketing manager for the Parks and Recreation Department, noted that several major trailheads are equipped with emergency call boxes for immediate assistance. Users are encouraged to hike with companions, carry charged cell phones, and inform someone of their whereabouts.
San Antonio Police Department officers regularly patrol city park trails. They advise trail users to maintain good situational awareness, especially avoiding distractions like loud music while wearing headphones.
