Fatal Henderson accident death of Alexander Haddrill – Obituary.
A 23-year-old bicyclist has been identified as the victim of a tragic accident involving a garbage truck in a Henderson work zone. Alexander Haddrill succumbed to his injuries at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center following the incident that occurred around 4:40 p.m. on September 12 at the intersection of West Warm Springs and Parkson roads, near Gibson Road.
The Clark County coroner’s office determined that Haddrill’s cause of death was blunt force injuries, and the incident has been classified as an accident. According to the Henderson Police Department, both the garbage truck and Haddrill were traveling eastbound on Warm Springs when the bicycle lane, marked with barricades and signs, was closed.
Haddrill attempted to maneuver between a barricade and the garbage truck, causing his front tire to roll onto the barricade base. This led him to fall into the path of the truck, resulting in him being run over by the rear tires. His death marks the 15th accident-related fatality in Henderson this year.
