Fatal Fresno County crash death of Alionso Jimenez Perez – Obituary.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who lost his life following a collision between his farming tractor and a pickup truck. Alionso Jimenez Perez, 72, from Selma, died after the incident that occurred on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, around 8:15 p.m., Perez was operating a farm tractor eastbound on Floral Avenue, heading toward Temperance Avenue in Fresno County. A Toyota Tacoma approached from behind but did not see the tractor in time to avoid a collision.
The impact ejected Perez from the tractor onto the dirt shoulder, causing severe injuries. He was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the Toyota was uninjured and remained at the scene of the accident. The investigation is ongoing, with CHP reporting that neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash.
