Fatal Winton Road shooting death of Bennie Byrd – Obituary.
Cincinnati police have reported the death of a 40-year-old man following a shooting and subsequent vehicle crash near the border of Springfield Township. The incident occurred shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Winton Road and North Bend Road in College Hill.
According to authorities, Byrd was shot while inside his vehicle, causing him to collide with another vehicle at the intersection. His vehicle continued moving before crashing again in front of a beauty supply store. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit is currently investigating the case. Shortly after the incident, a county-wide alert was issued for a white Ford Explorer believed to be involved in the shooting.
