Omaha police have reported that a man named Michael Sales, aged 70 and from Council Bluffs, Iowa, was killed in a two-vehicle collision early Friday morning. The incident, which occurred at around 1:20 a.m., involved Sales driving a Subaru that was struck from behind by a Jeep.
The impact caused Sales’ vehicle to hit a light pole, resulting in a fire. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene, alongside two children who were occupants of the Jeep. The Jeep’s driver, a 33-year-old man, along with a 38-year-old passenger and a child, sustained injuries and were transported to Nebraska Medicine for medical care.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing as authorities continue to gather details surrounding the incident.
