Fatal Yakima domestic violence shooting deaths of Dominique Mitchell and Andrea Alcazar – Obituary
Yakima police have identified Dominique Mitchell, 43, and Andrea Alcazar, 47, as the victims in a domestic violence incident on Saturday where they fatally shot each other.
Autopsies revealed that both Mitchell and Alcazar, who was also known as Andrea Jasso, died from gunshot wounds to the torso, with each firing at the other. Officers responded to the 1000 block of Prospect Way following reports of a domestic dispute and found both individuals with gunshot wounds. Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene, while Alcazar passed away at MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital.
This incident brings the total number of homicides in Yakima to 11 this year, and 19 for Yakima County. Police continue to investigate.
