The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost his life in a tragic bicycle accident on Sunday. The victim has been identified as 66-year-old Edward Woody.
The collision occurred on WO Ezelle Boulevard in Spartanburg shortly after 1:30 p.m. According to the coroner, Woody was pronounced dead after his bicycle was struck by a vehicle traveling in the same lane.
The Spartanburg Police Department is actively investigating the incident.
