Franck Lucien Kirikau Friconnet, a 32-year-old from Warkworth, was tragically killed in a three-vehicle collision that took place on Pohuehue Road in Pūhoi, north Auckland, on Wednesday, September 25. Emergency services responded to the crash, which occurred at around 6:13 a.m., after two vehicles collided, leading to a secondary impact involving a third vehicle.
Police confirmed that Friconnet, the driver of one of the vehicles, died at the scene. They extended their sympathies to his family and loved ones. Another driver involved in the crash was transported to Auckland City Hospital for medical treatment. Investigations into the cause of the incident are ongoing.
