Fatal Port Jervis death of Kathy Reakes – Obituary
Kathy Reakes, a 41-year-old woman from Brooklyn, was discovered deceased at the base of a cliff in the Hawk’s Nest area of Sparrow Bush on September 27. She had been reported missing a day earlier, prompting New York City police to initiate a search.
On Friday morning, authorities found Reakes’ car parked along Route 97, which led to further investigation. Using a drone, the New York State Police located her body at the cliff’s bottom. The recovery was conducted with assistance from various local police and fire departments.
An ongoing investigation by the State Police Greenville BCI Unit is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.
