Fatal Woodruff shooting death of Paul Higgins, Jeremy Faulkner, and Nicolas Long – Obituary.
A dispute over hunting land in Woodruff, South Carolina, led to a deadly shooting Friday evening, resulting in the deaths of Paul Higgins, 38, Jeremy Faulkner, 34, and Nicolas Long, 22. According to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene near West Georgia Road and Griffin Road around 8 p.m. and found three victims dead from gunshot wounds.
A fourth victim, who survived with non-life-threatening injuries, was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle. Witnesses on-site indicated that the conflict stemmed from an argument over who had permission to be on the land.
The coroner ruled all three deaths as homicides, and the investigation is ongoing.
