Purity Kinya dies in fatal Ongar crash
Fatal Ongar death of Purity Kinya – Obituary
Purity Kinya, a 30-year-old care assistant originally from Kenya, tragically lost her life in a collision on Epping Road, Ongar, on September 23, 2024. Purity was working alongside a colleague when the incident occurred, involving a Ford Ranger and a Fiat 500.
Emergency services arrived promptly, but unfortunately, Purity was pronounced dead at the scene. Another woman, also in the Fiat and in her 20s, sustained life-threatening injuries but is now reported to be stable in the hospital. The driver of the Ford Ranger suffered serious arm injuries.
A fundraising campaign has been established to support Purity’s family, as she had moved to the UK to improve her family’s circumstances, leaving her young daughter in Kenya. Care manager Tanya Batley remembered her fondly, stating, “Purity was always smiling and always happy. It was never a dull day with her.”
