Randell E. Glass dies in fatal Normal, Illinois shooting near ISU campus
Fatal Normal shooting death of Randell E. Glass – Obituary.
Randell E. Glass, an 18-year-old from Oak Lawn, was killed early Sunday near the Illinois State University campus, according to McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder. Glass suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the 300 block of North Main Street shortly before 3:45 a.m.
A second 18-year-old man was also shot during the incident and remains in critical condition. Officers had been called to break up a large party when they heard gunshots and discovered the victims in the nearby 300 block of North University Street.
Police Chief Steve Petrilli noted that this could be the third homicide in Normal this year. Authorities are continuing their investigation and are asking for anyone with information to contact the Normal Police Department.
