On September 28, around 6:40 p.m., Richard Thrower, a Rock Hill resident, was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident in York County, South Carolina. The crash occurred on Porter Road, near the intersection with Neely’s Creek Road.
Authorities reported that a 2025 Honda sedan, traveling north on Porter Road, collided with Thrower’s 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which had entered the northbound lane. Tragically, Thrower was pronounced dead at the scene. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate, with pathology and toxicology results pending.
